{"id":2747,"date":"2021-11-15T14:13:28","date_gmt":"2021-11-15T13:13:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mereau-finance.com\/letter\/n1-lettre-de-linvestisseur-dans-les-crypto-actifs\/"},"modified":"2021-11-15T14:13:28","modified_gmt":"2021-11-15T13:13:28","slug":"n1-letter-from-the-crypto-asset-investor","status":"publish","type":"letter","link":"https:\/\/www.mereau-finance.com\/en\/letter\/n1-lettre-de-linvestisseur-dans-les-crypto-actifs\/","title":{"rendered":"No. 1 \u2013 Crypto-asset investor letter."},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-680kd\">The purpose of this text is to provide you with my point of view; this is absolutely not investment advice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-at6c\">The crypto-asset market is currently in an expansion phase; the first bull leg started on December 16, 2020, when Bitcoin's previous price record was broken. Since then, the market has been in the spotlight, growing from a total capitalization of $1 trillion in early January to almost $2 trillion today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-36olu\">In just 3 months, the crypto-asset market doubled in size, whereas it had taken 12 years to reach its first $1 trillion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-9egrj\">This first bullish leg ended in late February 2021. Since then, we have been in a range (horizontal channel, price stabilization). A second bullish leg seems possible starting in April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-d64ag\">This second leg of the bull market will likely be the last for this cycle. We will then enter a distribution phase followed by capitulation (bear market).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-4fqmi\">We will never be able to predict the exact time the market will change state, but indicators can lead us to imagine a range between August and December 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-1fe0h\">This cycle repeats every 4 years and seems to run like clockwork. However, we can note that the crypto-asset market has matured significantly and has changed hands. Institutional investors are now in the game and entered the market around the price of 30,000 dollars per Bitcoin and then around 50,000 dollars per Bitcoin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-aaskr\">Given the massive influx of institutional capital that today represents <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcointreasuries.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">nearly 6.77 %<\/a> Based on the market capitalization, we can say that professional investors are now present and that this bull market will not be the same as the one in 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-2j73f\">Like some <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasdaq.com\/articles\/jp-morgan-revises-bitcoin-target-to-%24130000-citing-decreased-volatility-2021-04-04\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">JP Morgan experts think so<\/a>, this will also have the effect of reducing the well-known volatility of crypto-assets, and in particular Bitcoin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-em9ji\">The more mature this market becomes and the larger the capital, the lower the volatility will be.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-black-color has-css-opacity has-black-background-color has-background is-style-default\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"viewer-5u703\"><br>Today, the trend is toward NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens). It is a special type of <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.time2invest.org\/post\/prochainement-1\" target=\"_blank\">crypto token <\/a>that represents something unique.
